So, once upon a time (a couple months ago), Rigo started asking Jack if he wanted to go -- to leave with him or us--before picking him up to take him anywhere. And without realizing it, Rigo would do this little head thing where his head would sort of kick to the side real quickly as if to say "over there" or "out that door". . .
A few weeks later we began to notice that Jack would do the exact same thing with his head -- but much more slowly and deliberately-- whenever Rigo or I asked him if he wanted to go somewhere or if we used the word go at all . . .
A little later it turned into a question from him. When I would pick him up just to, say, change his diaper or put him in his high chair, he would look toward the door and then tilt his head and raise his eyebrows as if to say, "Oh, do you want to go?" or perhaps it is more like, "Mama, I really think we should go . . . don't you?" He also started giving the head tilt plus quizzical look whenever he saw one of us putting on shoes, grabbing keys or putting on sunglasses. I am sure it is not the only time you will see this in pictures of Jack (see below) but I captured it here in this picture one morning. Sorry for the blur.
