family

I do not have the words for this one just yet. I am not sure I will anytime soon. Perhaps I can only say that our family has expanded and our hearts with it.

long summer days

yesterday I decided to test the limits of Jack's energy and discovered, as expected, that it is indeed limitless.

a morning walk to the park with Mama Hilda and cousin Lindsey . . .

jack met a new friend -- a big guy who ended up giving him one of the lego cars he and Jack were playing with together. jack thinks he is a big guy. and that every car he plays with is indeed already his.

. . . back home for a two-hour nap and then off again for our first weekly "pizza in the park" evening with friends, little and big. we ended up with quite a spread and there was much talking, laughing, playing , running, knitting (!) and a new summertime tradition . . .

. . . back home after nightfall for a shower with papa, one book and off to bed.
